The first batch of Android 13 smartphones, including the Google Pixel 3, the Samsung Galaxy S10, and the new LG flagship LG G8 ThinQ (to name a few), are already available in stores or online to purchase. But what about your Asus phone? How long will you have to wait before it gets the Android 13 update? Here’s what you need to know about the Asus Android 13 upgrade process so far, including when will your Asus phone get the Android 13 update as well as what to expect from it!

1) What we know about the Android 13 release

The release of Android 13 is still just a rumor at this point, so we don't have much to go on. Rumors are suggesting it'll come out in October 2020, but it's unclear whether that date refers to when it'll be released or when Google's testing starts. What we do know is that asus android 13 has a few features including: upgrades for voice assistance and location services, parental controls and improvements to security updates. It also reportedly includes an upgraded launcher, new keyboard app and improved settings interface.
Asus only releases its updates every three months instead of one every week like some other manufacturers. So if you can't wait until fall 2020, your best bet might be buying a new phone.

2) When can we expect it to hit Asus phones?

We don't have an official date for when we expect the Asus android 13 upgrade to be available, but we can give you some broad time frames. You may have heard that Google is rolling out its new Android Q operating system on Monday, August 19. While the new version of Android is still being finalized and has not been officially announced, it is possible that device manufacturers like us will receive updates a few weeks after it's released by Google. We're hoping to learn more about this timing in the coming days.

Regardless of when devices get updated, there are several things you should do now to prepare your devices for any upcoming changes. First, please make sure that your Asus device is running the latest software. Visit settings > About Phone > System Update to see if there's an update waiting for you. If so, follow the steps below to download and install Android 13

3) Which Asus phones will get the update first?

According to a Google support page, most Asus phones in the Pixel family should be first to receive the next major operating system. The list includes: Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, Zenfone 5Z, Zenfone 6, and Zenfone 3 Zoom. Most phones released before 2019 should also be getting an update as well as newer models.

4) How to prepare for the Android 13 update

With Android 11 coming out, I'm sure you're wondering when Android 13 will be released. Well, don't worry. There are some things you can do to make sure that your phone is prepared for the upcoming release of Android 13 and it's not as hard as you think! 

1) Make sure that any software on your device is up-to-date. Go to Settings and select About Phone. If there are any updates available, they should be listed here. If there are any updates available, download and install them in order to avoid any problems with the upcoming release of Android 13. 

2) Delete all unused apps from your device. Every time you use an app, a little bit of memory space gets used. Over time, this adds up and causes performance issues on your device. So by deleting these unused apps from your device, it may help keep Android 13 running smoothly without any glitches or errors.

3) Clear cache by going to Settings > Storage > Cached Data and delete unnecessary data or files that aren't needed anymore. For example, if you're using Google Drive and Dropbox, then clear the cache related to those services. By doing so, Android 13 will run more quickly.

4) Perform a factory reset by going to Settings > System > Reset Device > Factory Reset if you want to start fresh with Android 13 (note: this will erase all personal data).

5) Uninstall recently downloaded apps and games. You might not realize it but new software requires a lot of system resources and could cause Android 13 to slow down due to low RAM usage. That's why it's important to uninstall any recent apps or games before updating to Android 13 so your device doesn't lag during use.
