It's no surprise that the critically-acclaimed indie game Hades has become a huge hit since its launch in 2020. It was only a matter of time before Supergiant Games announced Hades 2 and now, we're all eagerly awaiting its release. We can't help but wonder what Hades 2 will bring to the table. What new features, changes, and content will we get to experience in the sequel? Here are 10 things we want to see in Hades 2!

1) The Return of Persephone

It's been nearly two years since Supergiant Games released the award-winning rogue-like game Hades. Fans of the game have been clamoring for a sequel ever since, and now we may be getting closer to that happening. One thing we know for sure is that we're all hoping Persephone will make her return in Hades 2!

Persephone was one of the most interesting and engaging characters in the original game, and it would be amazing to see her have a bigger role in the sequel. There are so many possibilities for what could happen in a new story with her at the center. We'd love to see her further develop as a character, and see how she grows as a result of her experiences in Hades.

Perhaps Persephone could be given more of a narrative arc that sees her grow from a goddess of the underworld to a powerful leader of the gods. We'd also like to explore her relationship with Zagreus, and how their relationship evolves over the course of the game. It would be great to see the two of them team up on some quests together, or even discover an entirely new corner of the underworld.

No matter what happens, it's sure to be an exciting adventure with Persephone by your side. We can't wait to see what kind of stories await us in Hades 2.

2) New Areas of the Underworld

The Underworld is an ever-evolving and mysterious place. From the first installment of Hades, we've seen a range of beautiful and nightmarish locales, each one with its own unique atmosphere. With the announcement of Hades 2 on the horizon, we can't help but get excited for what new areas of the Underworld we'll get to explore! 

From the palace of the gods, to the river Styx, to the dread forests of Tartarus, there are so many possibilities for places that could be featured in Hades 2. Will we see a lush and peaceful Elysium, or perhaps the treacherous heights of Mount Orthys? The mind boggles at all of the new realms we could explore. 

Will the main character, Zagreus, stay within the realm of Olympus or will he journey outside its walls? Will we find ourselves in a sun-drenched paradise or a sinister abyss? With no details yet released on Hades 2, these questions remain unanswered. All we know is that there are bound to be surprises and secrets waiting for us in whatever new places lie ahead.

3) New Enemies and Bosses

With the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed roguelike Hades coming soon, fans are eager to find out what kind of new enemies and bosses they’ll be facing off against in the underworld. Here’s a list of ten things we’d love to see in Hades 2 when it comes to enemies and bosses:

1. An even bigger variety of monsters – Hades was already full of unique monsters, but we want to see even more in the sequel. The possibilities are nearly endless with all the different creatures from Greek mythology!

2. Epic boss battles – We expect the bosses to be even more challenging this time around. Bring on the epic battles!

3. More powerful weapons and armor – With an increase in enemy difficulty, new powerful weapons and armor will be necessary to help players take them down.

4. Creative puzzles – We’d love to see puzzles that require creative solutions to progress through the underworld.

5. Additional traps and obstacles – Hades was full of environmental hazards, but it would be great to have even more traps and obstacles to contend with in the sequel.

6. Epic boss forms – Epic bosses can take on multiple forms throughout their battles, requiring players to adapt quickly to the changing conditions.

7. Intricate arena designs – Arena designs should be even more intricate in Hades 2, adding a layer of strategy to each fight.

8. Unique enemy combinations – With so many different creatures inhabiting the underworld, it would be great to see them combining forces in interesting ways.

9. Unexpected enemy behaviors – Unpredictable enemy behavior can help keep players on their toes.

10.A larger cast of characters – A bigger cast of characters means more interactions and conversations for players to discover as they make their way through the underworld.

4) Improved Combat Mechanics

When it comes to Hades 2, we are all eager to see what the developers have in store for us. One of the main features we're looking forward to is improved combat mechanics. In the original Hades game, you had to dodge enemy attacks and use combos to take them down. While this worked great for the time, Hades 2 has the potential to take things to the next level.

We'd love to see a more robust combat system that allows for more creative strategies and special moves. Along with improved mechanics, we'd love to see an increased variety of enemy types and even bosses. This would give players something new to fight against each time they play and help keep the game feeling fresh. Improved combat mechanics are at the top of our list of things we want to see in Hades 2.

5) More Interactions with the Olympians

We all know that Hades is the ruler of the underworld in Greek mythology, but he isn't the only god who calls the underworld home. The gods of Mount Olympus have a strong presence in the first installment of Hades, and we're hoping to see them appear even more prominently in the upcoming sequel.

The gods of Mount Olympus have some of the best stories to tell, so why not let them shine in Hades 2? We'd love to see more interactions between Hades and the gods, such as Zeus, Aphrodite, Athena, and Poseidon. Each of these characters could bring an interesting dynamic to the game, whether they be allies or adversaries.

We also want to see more unique dialogue options when interacting with the gods. Depending on how you respond to their words, they could give you useful advice, powerful items, or even start a fight. It would be great if these interactions could also affect your progress throughout the game, either by helping or hindering you.

Ultimately, it's exciting to think about all the possibilities for interactions between Hades and the Olympians in Hades 2. As fans of Greek mythology, we can't wait to experience more of their divine stories in this gripping dungeon-crawler.

6) A Deeper Story

The original Hades was an incredible success and the story of Zagreus and his journey to the surface captivated players everywhere. The game even won numerous awards, including a BAFTA for Best Game Narrative. With such a strong foundation in place, it's no surprise that fans are already anticipating what's next for the franchise.

Fortunately, the developers have announced that a sequel to Hades is in the works, which gives us all something to look forward to! We can't wait to find out what new surprises await us in the world of Hades 2. But one thing we know for sure is that we want to see a deeper, more involved story than the first game. 

We'd love to dive into Zagreus's backstory and see how he's grown since his time in the Underworld. It would also be great to learn more about the other gods of Olympus, as well as get to know some of the other characters from the first game on a more personal level. We're sure that the developers have some great ideas up their sleeves, and we can't wait to see how they will expand upon the narrative of the original Hades. 

It's definitely going to be an exciting adventure when Hades 2 comes out!

7) Improved Graphics

When it comes to Hades 2, we can't help but get excited about the potential for improved graphics. After all, the first installment of this action-adventure roguelike set a high bar with its beautiful, hand-drawn art style and captivating visuals.

Now that the developers have had time to work on the game, we can only imagine what they will be able to accomplish with an improved graphical engine. We are looking forward to seeing lush backgrounds, better lighting, more detailed characters, and maybe even some new special effects. No matter what improvements Hades 2 brings, we're sure that the game's visuals will be a feast for the eyes!

8) New Music

When it comes to Hades 2, we're all eagerly awaiting what new features the sequel will bring to the table. One thing that's sure to make an appearance in the game is new music, and we can't wait to hear what musical creations are in store! With the original Hades soundtrack being one of the most highly praised video game soundtracks of all time, we have incredibly high expectations for what's to come. 9) More secrets to uncover

Hades 2 is sure to be an even more captivating experience than the original, and we can’t wait to see what the developers have in store for us. Here are some of the things we’re hoping to find in the sequel: 

1. New Characters: Hades is full of interesting characters, so it would be great if they could be expanded upon and given more depth in the sequel. We’d also love to see a few more gods introduced as well. 

2. More Gameplay Modes: The original game only had one mode, so it would be exciting if there were more options for how to play the game. 

3. More Powerful Weapons: The weapons in Hades are already powerful, but it would be great if they could be even more formidable in the sequel. 

4. Expanded Worlds: We’d love to explore even more of the Greek underworld in the sequel. 

5. New Enemies: It would be fun to fight new enemies in Hades 2. 

6. More Quests: More quests would be great, as they provide an extra layer of challenge and reward. 

7. Additional Storyline: Hades already has an interesting story, but it would be great if it could be expanded upon even further in the sequel. 

8. More Boss Battles: Boss battles can add a lot of intensity and excitement to a game, so we’d like to see even more of them in Hades 2. 

9. New Areas to Explore: Exploring new areas would keep the game feeling fresh and interesting. 

10. A Deeper Sense of Progress: Being able to track your progress more effectively in the sequel would give players more motivation to continue playing.

10) An Expansion to the Afterlife

The underworld, a place of mystery and darkness, is where the journey of Hades began. Now, after Hades’s successful release, fans are eagerly awaiting what’s in store for a potential sequel. In the meantime, let’s dive into what we would like to see in Hades 2!

First and foremost, we want an even larger variety of unique monsters and enemies for players to battle against. Bosses that can test our skills and give us that extra challenge would be much appreciated. Additionally, new maps, secrets, and secrets hidden within secrets would make it more exciting to explore the depths of the underworld. 

Another addition we’d like to see is a greater emphasis on the Greek mythology that served as the basis for Hades. As a title that takes place in the afterlife, it would be amazing to get a glimpse into how different cultures view the concept of death and dying. A few more gods and goddesses making appearances, as well as new realms in the Underworld such as Tartarus, Elysium, and Asphodel Meadows would be great too.

Finally, introducing further character development and an expanded narrative arc could add even more intrigue to the world of Hades. Showcasing the backstory of some of the gods and heroes, giving more context to the battles, or highlighting the ethical dilemmas faced by Zagreus on his journey could all contribute to an even deeper gaming experience.
