I’m sure most of you have heard about the Warzone 2.0 update that just launched for Halo 5: Guardians, but if you haven’t, then definitely read up on it here. One of the most exciting things to come with the update was the new Forge mode called DMZ or Disintegration Mode Zone, which has its own specific areas to let you create and play in custom-made maps!

Battle Royale

Take your place as a soldier and fight to be the last one standing in this new type of Battle Royale mode inspired by Halo 5: Guardians' Warzone mode. It features all-new weapons and vehicles, as well as classic game types like Slayer, Strongholds and Capture The Flag.

You'll find bases ready for you to take over and even a few secrets hidden around for you to find. Fight with honor or die trying - welcome to Warzone 2.0's DMZ mode! 
In battle royale mode, 16 players are dropped into an expansive map that's scattered with bases for players to capture and hold.

The goal is simple: Use whatever means necessary to eliminate opponents until only 1 player remains alive in each match – but wait! This isn't just any normal deathmatch experience; if you run out of lives (which can happen very quickly in DMZ) then you're permanently eliminated from play entirely until everyone else has been killed off. How will you stack up against competitors? Find out when Warzone 2.0 drops tomorrow on June 6!

Plunder

In Warzone, your objectives are well defined, giving you a set of instructions that have always been simple:

1) Kill all enemies 2) Destroy their base. 

In Warzone 2.0’s DMZ mode, a new world exists with the same level of density of power-ups and weapon pickups that you would find in a standard Warzone game, but there is no base to take down - just hordes of bots and an endless score loop. The first few times I played through it, I was on my guard for any aggressive bot or ambush.

But after a while I realized that this isn't going to happen. No matter how many times you get killed (and believe me it will be many), they will not be any less eager to kill you the next time they see you. So if taking them out without having to worry about defenses sounds like something fun for you, then this is definitely the place for it!

Blood Money

One of my favorite things about our DMZ mode, is that I can capture some fresh air without constantly worrying about getting blown up by other players. I love earning the respect and affinity for others just by interacting with them, which is what you'll get when you play through Warzone 2.0's single-player campaign and save your COG soldiers from ambushes, walkthroughs and execution attempts as a rescued guerrilla fighter .

This is a truly unique multiplayer experience, that really sets it apart from other game modes. Just watch your back - there are battles waiting around every corner and don't forget about ammo since only your melee weapon will be available for ranged attacks! Get ready to rumble in Warzone 2.0's DMZ mode!

Domination

While there are many activities available, domination is still king. Domination is all about the number of flags captured. The team that captures all three of their opponents' flags, or has more flags than their opponents when time runs out, wins the round and gets a point (similar to Capture The Flag).

To capture a flag, you need to stay on it for a short period of time until your HUD says that you've captured it (it also flashes green) and then run back home with it as fast as possible while being chased by your enemies who want to recapture it. There are eight different maps in total, each containing 3-4 control points to capture which result in more objectives once captured.

The best way to play this game mode is if you have four friends join you online because it can be difficult at times if playing solo. Warzone 2.0 provides you with an option between two main weapons: assault rifles and SMGs (depending on whether the map allows assault rifle usage or not), two grenades types and the option of having both one shield type along with an armor ability - active camo or overshield depending on preference - however only one can be used at any given time.

Team Deathmatch

Warzone 2.0 is a 10-player multiplayer mode where players can take on one another in Team Deathmatch, and other variants like Capture the Flag and Assault, or they can play solo against AI opponents. The map is much bigger than previous Halo games and features vehicles such as tanks, Scorpion tanks, Bikes, Banshees, Wraiths and more!

Players can also find weapons scattered around the map such as Sniper Rifles, Rocket Launchers and Shotguns that are all fully-upgraded for maximum destruction. You'll also be able to try new weapons like the Promethean Binary Rifle or Storm Rifle that are sure to make your enemies run for cover with its long range capabilities...

Kill Confirmed

Warzone 2.0 is a fast-paced, objective-driven PVP mode that drops you into a battle between two teams of 12 players fighting for control of the map and its various supply stations.

The first team to capture three stations wins the match, but you'll need to be wary of your opponents as they attempt to stop your team from winning by killing you and taking your dog tags (which represent one kill). In this mode, each player has a radar on their HUD indicating where enemies are as well as a reticle showing which way they're facing; this lets players know if they're being flanked or coming up behind someone so they can take action accordingly.

Hardpoint

Warzone 2.0, a new iteration of Halo 5's multiplayer, is coming with an entirely new multiplayer mode: DMZ. This new mode features a brand new map and two teams of 4 players that are competing to take control of one central hardpoint by attacking and defending it. You must find weapons scattered throughout the map, kill enemy players and vehicles, and use any means necessary to overtake your opponents' hardpoints before they can take yours!
