Microsoft Teams Introduces New Feature to Help Teams Stay Connected
Microsoft Teams Introduces New Feature
Microsoft announced today that it’s rolling out a new feature to its Microsoft Teams collaboration app called follow-up mode, which allows team members to stay in the loop regarding the status of projects and tasks they have been assigned to.
The tool will launch first on Android devices, with iOS and Mac versions following shortly after. The feature was first previewed at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference earlier this year, as the company aims to create an optimal experience within Teams that doesn’t require an Office 365 subscription or even an active subscription to other Microsoft products like Exchange Online or OneDrive for Business.

The Problem that Microsoft Teams Aims to Solve
It's great when teams are able to chat with one another and collaborate on projects. But it can be hard for team members to stay in touch if they're never in the same place. The new Microsoft Teams feature helps solve that problem by allowing people to share their screens so everyone on the team can see what's going on.
Sharing your screen also reduces the need for bulky software downloads, which means that you can get up and running quickly with this new feature. Plus, by using this new Microsoft teams feature, team members won't miss out on important conversations or key updates because they'll be notified as soon as they happen, even if they weren't around at the time.
The New Feature - Team Rooms
Microsoft Teams recently introduced a new feature called Team Rooms, which is designed to help teams stay connected. Whether you're meeting with team members in person or working remotely, Team Rooms make it easy for everyone to have the same conversations and access the same content.
Team Rooms come with a number of features that can make collaborating with your team more effective, such as: - Share resources: Easily share files and documents from your computer's desktop or from OneDrive for Business using drag-and-drop. You can also share a link that will open in Microsoft Edge with others on your team.
How Team Rooms Work
Microsoft Teams introduced a new way for teams to stay connected with the introduction of Team Rooms. This feature is now available for select organizations and will be rolling out for all Office 365 customers in 2019.
Teams Rooms are shared spaces that let you save time by collaborating and communicating in one space, which can help teams stay focused, avoid distractions, and work more efficiently.
To set up a Team Room, you'll need an Office 365 account or an Azure AD account. Once you're signed in, go to Settings > Create a team room and choose the right plan for your team needs—Basic or Premium. Basic is free and comes with meeting rooms and calling capabilities, while Premium offers additional features like video conferencing and group chat. If you've already created a meeting room from the previous step, you can skip ahead to adding members.
You can also add other people to your team through invite links if they don't have an Office 365 account or an Azure AD account. When someone joins the team room for the first time, they'll get prompted to enter their credentials so they don't have to go back later on.
Team Rooms make it easy for people across different geographies or working at different times to collaborate together on tasks without having to switch back-and-forth between different programs—it's one place where they always know what's going on!
The Benefits of Team Rooms
Microsoft Teams has just introduced a new feature called Team Rooms which is designed to help make it easier for teams to stay in touch and collaborate. This feature will be available for all Office 365 users, starting on November 2nd. The first time you log into Microsoft Teams, you will see a prompt asking if you would like to create a Team Room. You can also choose from existing Team Rooms that have been created by your organization.
Teams are different from chatrooms in that they offer persistent chat history and notifications so that work doesn't get interrupted. When someone joins the team room, they will automatically receive updates about what's happening in the room and what has been shared there recently.
For example, when a new file or link is shared, an email notification with a preview of the item will show up at their desk. They'll be able to open the attachment directly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word or Excel without having to search through their inbox or download attachments separately.
Another great benefit of team rooms is that everyone gets access to live transcripts of conversations. It’s easy for people outside of an office environment - who often can’t participate in meetings due to location or schedule conflicts - to read over and learn about what was discussed during those meetings.

How to Get Started with Team Rooms
Team Rooms are a new Microsoft feature in the Microsoft Teams app. This new feature is designed to help teams stay connected and coordinated. With a team room, the team can chat with one another and share files while they’re on their mobile device or at their desk. Here's how you get started:
1) Open your Microsoft Teams app and create a new team room by tapping the Add button at the bottom of your screen.
2) Enter a name for your team room, enter a password (which all members must use), and tap Save.
3) Invite all members of your team by entering their email address into the Invite People field, then tap Send Invites to send them an invitation.
4) All members will receive an email inviting them to join the group. Once invited, they just need to sign in using their Office 365 account credentials (or any other services that use this authentication).
- Once all members have joined the group, it's time for everyone to be given access to do certain things within the team room like invite other users or make changes!
- Go ahead and invite other people from outside of your company so that you can collaborate more easily together!
