Clear the cache and data for the app
If your Google apps for android aren't working, there are a few steps you can take. First, try clearing the cache and data for the app. This will clear any temporary files that may be causing problems. To do this, go to Settings then Privacy and then Storage and then Cached Data or App Data. Once you get there, select the app in question and hit delete. Then restart the app by hitting Force stop followed by Clear data.
Update the app
Did you know that Google has a number of free apps that can be downloaded and used to edit, create and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more? These apps are called the Google Apps. There are many reasons why the app may not be working properly. Luckily there are many fixes for this problem.
1) Check your phone's date and time settings
2) Update your phone's operating system
3) Restart the app or restart your phone
4) Delete the app from your device then re-download it .
5) Uninstall all updates to the app and then reinstall them.
6) Make sure you have enough memory space left on your device before opening any new applications.
7) Force close the application after performing steps one through six (tap home button twice, press and hold google icon until an X appears in top left corner, tap X).
8) Contact customer service for help with any other problems relating to using google apps on android devices.
